2019 Annual Meeting and Election Information

The Annual Meeting of Financial Educators Federal Credit Union will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 at Daytona State College. The meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Building 150 Room 101. The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to review the financial performance of the Credit Union, elect officers, and conduct any new business brought forth under the proper protocol.

Every member of Financial Educators FCU is eligible to vote, and may participate in the Annual Meeting. Financial Educators FCU encourages all its members to take this opportunity to hear how your Credit Union performed in 2018. We will also have food, drinks, and door prizes for several lucky members!

Election Process

This year’s election is for two terms of three years, with all terms commencing at the April 22nd, 2019 Annual Meeting. Per the Bylaws of Financial Educators FCU, the election will not be conducted by in-person balloting at the meeting, and there will be no nominations from the floor so long as there is at least one nominee for each position to be filled. All elections are determined by plurality vote and will be by ballot, except where there is only one nominee for each position to be filled.

Nominations may not be made from the floor unless sufficient nominations have not been made by the Nominating Committee or by petition to provide for one nominee for each position to be filled, or unless circumstances prevent the candidacy of the one nominee for a position to be filled. When only one member is nominated for each position to be filled, the Chairman may take a voice vote or declare each nominee elected by general consent or acclamation at the Annual Meeting.
